A CENTURY OF OPPORTUNITY

EASTERN KENTUCKY UNIVERSITY

For 100 years, Eastern Kentucky University has served as a BRIGHT BEACON OF HOPE for generations of students eager to better their lives, and for a region and Commonwealth that have come to depend on it as an invaluable source of mind power and leadership.

Founded in 1906 as a teachers’ college, EKU has evolved into a leading comprehensive university with more than 168 academic degree programs, many NATIONALLY PROMINENT, and campuses in Richmond, Corbin, Danville and Manchester.

This “SCHOOL OF OPPORTUNITY” hasn’t forgotten the secrets to that success: a steadfast commitment to provide a high-quality education that is both affordable and accessible, and a warm and friendly learning environment where a caring faculty and staff always put students and learning first.

As the University embraces its rich tradition, it continues to move forward with GREAT AMBITION to better serve students, enhance the quality of life throughout the region and Commonwealth, and earn national distinction.
